List the fruit varieties, size range and handling concerns. A setup for apples and kinnow may need different handling from a screen sizer for potatoes or onions.
Measure real throughput
Give the supplier your peak hourly volume, shift length and seasonal demand. Boxes per hour and tonnes per hour need a clear box weight before comparison.
Map the complete line
Decide where washing, brushing, inspection, grading and packing happen. Consider each hand-off as well as the grader itself.
Ask for a sample trial
Discuss a trial using representative produce. Confirm grading criteria, utilities, maintenance access and installation space before ordering.
